Nurse Training

We offer free classroom based training to all of our staff, and invest in your career.

Revalidation

Revalidation started in April 2016 and is the process that all Nurses and Midwides in the UK and all Nursing Associates in England need to follow to maintain their registration in the UK
Revalidation occurs every 3 years and is sent via your online NMC Account. 
It will expect you to understand and reflect on your role of the Code in your practice and demonstrate that you are meeting the standards within it

About the Role:
As a Registered Nurse at Retain Healthcare, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our clients, including:
  • Delivering personalized personal care
  • Administering medications safely and accurately
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed records (daily records, MARS sheets)
  • Managing Syringe Drivers
  • Providing PEG feeding support
  • Performing Catheter care and catheterization (where required)
  • Promoting client independence and well-being
  • Adhering to all company policies and procedures
  • Upholding the NMC Code of Conduct at all times
 Experience in the following areas is highly desirable:
  • Proficiency with clinical assessment tools such as Waterlow and MUST
  • Experience in developing comprehensive and individualized care plans
  • Familiarity with the Pillpac system and the PCS digital system (or other current healthcare systems)
 The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A valid and current NMC pin
  • RGN qualification with at least 6 months of post-qualification experience
  • A proven track record of working in a similar adult care environment
  • The ability to prioritize and address residents' individual needs, wishes, and aspirations

Payroll Administrator

Payroll Administrator
Location: Cheltenham

Salary: £24,000 - £25,000

Retain Healthcare is a leading provider of Homecare staffing, Agency staffing, and Social Care Training in the South West. We are committed to providing exceptional care and support to our clients and employees.

As a Payroll Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our team. You will handle the full end-to-end payroll process, from processing starters and leavers to calculating statutory deductions and preparing year-end reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle the full end-to-end payroll process, including processing starters and leavers, calculating statutory deductions (SMP, SPP, SSP, and SAP), and preparing year-end reports.
  • Act as the primary contact for advising and resolving employee payroll queries.
  • Process BACS payments accurately and to an agreed timescale.
  • Process BACS Attachment of Earnings.
  • Complete end-of-year processing, including P11Ds and P60s.
  • Deal with manual calculations and update employee records as required.
  • Calculate ad-hoc payments such as holiday pay.
  • Invoice processing.
  • Process P45s for leavers.
  • Deal with HMRC queries.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Proven experience with payroll processing software (Sage or similar).
  • Experience using accounting software, particularly Xero, is preferred.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • A willingness to learn and develop new skills.

Care Coordinator

Homecare Coordinator

Introduction:

This role will include building relationships with local authorities, social care and health community teams.

As a Care Coordinator you will be required to ensure the smooth running of the CQC Regulated branch supporting individuals in their own homes maintaining its excellent reputation, seek new opportunities, ensuring that the care and coordinating team follow company policies as well as national and local guidance.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • To ensure the branch continues to grow and develop its homecare service.
  • To ensure the team and the branch overall hit their weekly KPI, covering areas such as the recruitment of new staff, number of packages taken on and the development of our privet funding customer base.
  • Ensure that the coordinating team create travel effective rotas in advance and that customers have a consistent high-quality service from people they know.
  • Ensure the branch Keep effective relationships with the staff, have an understanding of their work requirements. Ensure the team roster effectively, skill matching to specific needs are managed effectively.
  • Report and record any safeguarding concerns to the Branch Manager.
  • Attend training and expand your personal development, you will need to have the ability to use reflective practice and that learning logs are completed so that lessons can be learnt and improve overall service delivery for the branch
  • Meet and exceed realistic KPI’s & targets
  • Always Strive for outstanding, ensuring our customers are looked after ‘there problem is our problem’ approach
  • Approve and Keep a record of holidays and ensure there is appropriate staffing levels to ensure capacity.
  • Monitor sickness and absence of staff and work with staff to improve where their attendance is below the expected standard.
  • You will need to ensure that the homecare service works in an outcome focus way that is person centred to the individual customer. Ensuing that support plans a written to a high standard and that risk assessments are carried out and reviewed in line with the company’s policy. Mentoring to staff responsible for care plans and risk assessments on how this should be carried out.

Retain Healthcare is developing a new model of care and support to people living at home in your community. This is an opportunity for the right person to shape and develop a new service and deliver care that provides improved quality of life to those who need you most.

We are looking for a female live in care assistant to support a client with a spinal injury in their own home. The package will be 3 weeks on, 3 weeks off, and requires previous live in experience.

  • Previous live in experience

  • Care certificate/ NVQ Level 2

We're seeking a passionate and experienced Support Worker to provide high-quality care and support to individuals with Learning Disabilities (LD), Autism, and challenging behaviours in a residential setting.

About You:

  • Experience: Minimum 6 months of paid experience working with people in a residential care setting.
  • Skills: Proven experience supporting individuals with LD/Autism, dementia, dysphasia, epilepsy, schizophrenia, and challenging behaviours. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to de-escalate conflict and manage challenging behaviours effectively. Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to person-centered care and promoting individual independence.
