Care Assistant- Complex Care Package (12 hours days)

 

Job Description

We at Retain Healthcare are looking for confident individuals to work in a complex care package in Swindon.

The main duties and responsibilities include:

  • Completing regular checks for health and welfare.
  • Supporting the customer with their personal care needs.
  • Supporting the customer to meet their outcomes.
  • Supporting the customer with daily activities such as shopping, hobbies, attending appointments, accessing the community and keeping the home up together with domestic tasks.
  • Prompting/Administering medication.
  • Use of moving and assisting equipment.
  • Encouraging independence where possible.
Knowledge of PEG desirable but if not, training is provided.

Requirements:
  • Previous care experience necessary
  • 25 years old and over
  • Must hold a UK driving license
  • Ability to prepare and cook balanced meals
  • Patient and caring nature
  • Comfortable with cats
  • Comfortable around smokers

    • Following the outcome focused model, encourage customers to undertake personal care and tasks which they are capable of, recognising that their abilities may change, in some circumstances, on a day-to-day basis
